![]() May Peace Prevail on Earth |
Along with neighbors and friends, the
Sisters of the Holy Names at Villa Maria del Mar blessed and dedicated an
International Peace Pole in the newly created Peace Garden. Caretakers of
all God's creation, we believe peacemaking is not an optional commitment,
but is a requirement of our faith. All are called to be peacemakers by our
belief in the interdependence of all creation, all cultures, all countries
and all peoples. "May Peace Prevail on Earth" is the silent prayer of the Peace Pole as the sun rises on each new day. Let the ocean waters that serve to connect all the lands on our planet, be a symbol of our own interconnectedness. |
