“Tending Broken Hearts in a Broken Church: Skills for Pastoral Ministry” – Sr. Miriam Malone, SNJM, D.Min.
February 9 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
This workshop, designed primarily for lay pastoral ministers and those doing ministry, will engage participants in an exploration of current realities, assumptions and challenges, appropriate boundaries and responses, and specific pastoral skills needed for effective ministry in our times. Methodologies will include personal reflection, pastoral skill review, engagement with practical scenarios, and group interaction. We will return to our places of ministry with a deeper awareness of what is required of us to respond effectively and appropriately to those who open their broken hearts to us as representatives and ministers of the church.
Cost: $15 suggested donation at the door
(with optional lunch at 12:30 for $15)
